Gorman Scarlett Leather Jacket

I must admit that shopping has been quiet for some time.  But I have shopped a bit in the last week so some new posts will be coming your way.

Have you thought about your staple pieces for the Autumn/Winter of 2013?  Well last year saw the introductionof colour and especially in jeans.  Colour continues to be something to embrace, but now it has been teamed up with leather.













A colourful leather jacket is a must have for the new season.  If kept in great condition it will last for years to come and will also be an investment piece.

I recently saw the Gorman Scarlett Leather Jacket on their instagram feed, and when launched it was something that I knew would be a staple for the season to come.  The colour makes the world brighter, and I can see that summer will be a brighter season with it.

Now I must admit that a leather jacket is a hefty investment.  It is not for all.  So if you are going to invest in one, then there is even more reason that it is going to be a staple to get use out of.  I see this jacket as something I could wear for the next 20 plus years.

I have seen similar jackets in the same colouring on other stores, but this has to be my fave.  It is $429.

My Best Friend is a Bag - Elle Leather Tote Bag

I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a while.  For 1 I have been watching my dollars more.  Hopefully we may have a large expense that needs to be made soon.  Will share more about that later.  I have still been spending some dollars, but certainly anything that I have bought has to be good quality and also  need (not just a want).
So working in a professional industry I always need a bag that can hold all my work.  I can often be juggly files and it is not easy. I love red.  It is one of my favourite colours.  But it can be sometimes daunting to wear.  It can come across as powerful or dominating.  But sometimes worn the right way, it can be eyecatching and flattering. 


I also love boots.  I had not yet made a purchase from Style Tread, but saw recently they had a sale on.  I was fortunate to get the Nude footwear Leo Red ankle boot. 

I was amazed firstly at how quickly they arrived.  Also, I was luck enough to get them on sale for $95, but if you register to received a newsletter, you get $10 off.

I can't believe how comfortable they are and with a pair of jeans or even on a work day with a suit they just make the day a happy day and help stand out without showing off.

MIX Apparel Black and Cream blouse - Coles

I'm not sure if you have been able to check out the range of MIX apparel range available at Coles.  You can check it out online, but recently my local has started stocking the range.  I had previously seen on LifeStyled Paula Joye showing off a cream blouse purchased from the MIX range.  She has also been seen wearing a black blouse aswell. Black and Cream are two colours made famous and glamorous by Coco Chanel, the ultime style icon.
I recently purchased the Black and Cream Blouse at my local Coles Store for $25 each.  Unfortunately you can't buy them online as they are sold out, but my store seemed to have many of them. 

Duo Boots Verdana grey leather knee high boots

I apologise in advance for my "boot" fetish.  I'd promise that I would stop, but then I wouldn't be a shopaholic.  So whilst going through the DUO Boots website, I came across the Verdana Boot, and I was thinking yes that would fit with my wardrobe.  They are made of soft textured nubuck leather.  One thing I do have to say is that the picture doesn't show the colour that best.  They would be more classified as a taupe, and have some brown in them.  But they are still a colour that I love, and I think a taupe boot is quite popular at the moment. 

DUO Boots Amora mock croc leather boots

 So last post I wrote about my purchase of boots from Duo.  This post relates to my purchase of Duo Boots Amora mock croc leather boots. 

So in my opinion if you are going to have a pair of boots just under the knee, you need a pair of black.  And what is better than having boots in a mock croc leather. 

They look very smart.

And Comfy.

And also are skinny jeans compatible.

So if you are looking for a different black leather boot, maybe this might be your thing.  It was mine.

Duo Boots SISTINA tan leather knee high boots

I love shoes.  I love shoes.  But somehow I was blessed with larger calfs.  I have been through the humiliating act of trying on boots, but not being able to zip them up.  So I gave up on ever being able to wear boots.  Especially fashionable boots.  But then I was reading about DUO Boots about two months ago on one of my favourite blogs, Styling You.  So now that I have now been blessed with gorgeous boots to wear. 

My first pair to share are the SISTINA tan leather knee high boots.  They fit great.  And I think they also look fantastic.  Stylish.  Modern.  Gorgeous buckles.  And they also fit under my skinny jeans.  Can't ask for more than that.
They look exatly like shown in the pictures, and the leather smells great.  You can tell that it is real leather.
when buying any shoes online, I often am quite worried about the sizing and will it fit.   DUO use European sizing, and I have boughts shoes in 38.5, 39 and 30.5.  Anways I went for a 39, and they fit great, so I think true to size. 
They took just over a week to arrive, which is certainly not a long time from the UK, but when you are waiting for something to arrive, sometimes you just can't wait.
 So if you are like me - love boots but have not standard calfs and what boots that are stylish and not some boring things, please don't continue to to think that you will never have the chance to buy boots because DUO Boots can help you out.
